How to enroll for EFTPS
- Submit the following information:
- Employer identification number (EIN) or taxpayer identification number (TIN)
- Business name and address
- Contact information and phone number
- Bank account number and routing number
- Wait seven to 10 days for approval and a PIN, which will arrive via mail to the extent approval is provided
- Use the PIN to create an online account with a login name and password
- Start making or scheduling payments
How to make payment on EFTPS?
The Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) makes paying federal taxes easy and quick. To pay online, go to the site, click the “make a payment” button, and then follow the detailed instructions on the screen. You can choose a date up to a year from now to send money. All changes or cancellations must be made at least two days before the event.
When the transaction is processed, a confirmation number is sent to the user as a receipt. EFTPS can store up to 15 months’ worth of payment history, and it also has an email alert system that lets users know if their payments’ status changes. How to enroll in EFTPS

Once you get your PIN, you will need to set your password. Go to the site and click “Login” to change the password for your EFTPS account. Select “Need a Password” from the list of options on the page. Enter your TIN and PIN where it says to do so.
When you log into your account for the first time, you must confirm your bank information and enrollment number. Find your enrollment number on the letter from EFTPS that has your PIN on it. Once your information has been checked, click “Next” and pick a password.
