What is a Foxtel ID?

A Foxtel ID is a username and password that Foxtel customers can use to log in to Foxtel’s online services.

You can create a Foxtel ID to get access to:

My Account: manage your Foxtel account online (available for Foxtel residential customers only; Foxtel from Telstra customers can access this information through My Telstra)


MyFoxtel app: search and record programs from your compatible smartphone or tablet to your Foxtel box (with recording capability)


Foxtel GO: watch Foxtel on your portable devices (e.g. smartphone, tablet, Mac or PC) or cast to a big screen
Foxtel app:

watch Foxtel on the Foxtel Now Box or on a compatible Smart TV (only if you’re subscribed to a Multiroom or Multiscreen).

How do I create a Foxtel ID?

Note: If you signed up for Foxtel online, then your Foxtel ID will have already been created during the sign up; the email address you used in this process is your Foxtel ID.

If you want to create a Foxtel ID, you’ll need to make sure you have the account holder’s date of birth and one of the following:

your account number

your smartcard number
or
the serial number of your box.
Note: To find these details, see Find your account details below.

To create a Foxtel ID:

Go to https://www..com.au/login.html.


Enter the account holder’s date of birth.


Enter your account number, or the serial or smartcard number of any of your Foxtel boxes.


Click Verify my account.

To create a Foxtel ID:

Enter your email address and password (these details will become your ID details).


Click Submit. You’ll receive a verification email to the email address you provided.


Click the link in the verification email to confirm your email address and finalise your Foxtel ID.


Note: This link will only be available for four days.

If the link has expired, you’ll need to complete the registration process again.

Can I use my Foxtel ID for Foxtel Now?

No, a Foxtel ID is only for residential cable/satellite Foxtel services.

If you want to watch your Foxtel service on a mobile device, or cast to a big screen, you can use your Foxtel ID to log in to Foxtel GO, which is part of your residential cable/satellite Foxtel service.

Foxtel Now is our subscription streaming service.

If you sign up for Foxtel Now, you must create a username and password when signing up, but this username and password can only be used for your Foxtel Now account.


Note: If you have previously used your email address to sign up for Foxtel Now, you will need to use a different email address as a Foxtel ID for residential services or get in touch with us to help with reallocating your email address.

What do I do if I’ve forgotten my password?

If you’ve forgotten your password for your Foxtel ID, we can reset your password via text message or email.

Reset password via text message

To reset your password via text message (standard text messaging fees apply):

Go to the My Account login page.

Click Forgot password? above the Password field.

Select the Text message radio button.

Enter your mobile number and the account holder’s date of birth in the relevant fields.

Note: The date of birth must match the date of birth on your account.

Confirm you’re a real person by clicking the box and completing the CAPTCHA test.

Click Send code. We’ll send a 6-digit code to your nominated mobile number.

This code is valid for single time use within the next 15 minutes only. Do not share this number.

Enter the code in the Enter Code field and click Confirm.

Now that we’ve identified you on the account, you can create a new password (minimum of eight characters with at least one letter and number).

Click Reset password. Your password has now been reset

Reset your password via email

Note: If you don’t receive an email, this may mean that your email address isn’t registered for your Foxtel ID. Follow the process to register this email address here.

Or, you might have to update the email address that’s registered to your Foxtel ID.

Follow the process to update your email address via text message or entering account information (see FAQ below).

To reset your password via email:

Go to the My Account login page.

Click Forgot password? above the Password field.

Select the Email radio button.

Enter your email address that is associated with your Foxtel ID.

Confirm you’re a real person by clicking the box and completing the CAPTCHA test.

Click Send email. You’ll receive an email with reset instructions within five minutes (if you can’t see this email, make sure you also check your junk, spam or social folders).

To reset your password via email:

Open the email from Foxtel and click the Reset password link.

This will open up a new page where you can reset your password.

Now that we’ve identified you on the account, you can create a new password (minimum of eight characters with at least one letter and number).

Click Reset password. Your password has now been reset.

What do I do if I’ve forgotten my email address or username?

If you’ve forgotten your email address or username, you can retrieve it via text message, entering your account information online or email.

To retrieve your email address or username via text message (standard text messaging fees apply):

Go to the My Account login page.

Click Forgot Username? above the Username/Email field.

Select the Text message radio button.

Enter your mobile number and the account holder’s date of birth in the relevant fields.

To reset your password via email:

Retrieve via entering account information

To retrieve your email address or username via entering your account information:

Go to the My Account login page.

Click Forgot Username? above the Username/Email field.

Select the Enter account information radio button.

Enter the account holder’s date of birth and the account number, serial number of the box or the smartcard number in the relevant fields.

Confirm you’re a real person by clicking the box and completing the CAPTCHA test.

Click Retrieve username. Your email address or username used for your Foxtel ID will now display onscreen.
